Meet Our Team: Jeremiah Zohner
Once again, we’d like to introduce you to a member of our team. This week, we’ll be talking with Jeremiah Zohner. Jeremiah has been a beta manager with us for over five years and has run countless beta tests for just about every product you can imagine. We took a few minutes and sat down with Jeremiah, and here’s everything that he had to tell us.
What’s the best thing about working at Centercode?
I’d have to say the people that I work with. Being able to come to work and discuss a variety of geeky topics ranging from comic books to movies, video games, and toys is always nice. Seeing all the new, cutting-edge technology is pretty awesome, too.
What’s the most difficult thing about your job at Centercode?
That’s a tough one. I’d say it’s probably my inability to leave my work at the office. But, I’m not sure if that’s more of a me thing or a job thing.
In your opinion, what’s the most important characteristic in a good beta tester?
I’d say that it’s the ability to communicate effectively, and in a timely manner. Also, being able to complete surveys, tasks, etc. as quickly as possible is a major plus.
What’s one thing that a beta tester can do to stand out from the rest?
Take the time to share any/all details about their experience. The more details we have, the more useful the feedback becomes.
What’s one piece of advice you’d like to give to our Betabound community?
Using all capital letters and horrible grammar when applying for a beta test is one way to ensure that you are not going to get selected.
What’s one gadget that you own that you couldn’t live without?
My Nexus 5. It’s one of the best smartphones I’ve ever owned.
What’s your all-time favorite video game?
There are too many to choose from. Minecraft and Civ V are right up at the top of my list. I also have a soft spot in my heart for Hitman: Silent Assassin.
What’s the worst movie you’ve ever seen?
The Good Shepherd. It had an amazing cast, but it was so boring. I tried watching it on three separate occasions and fell asleep each time.
If you had to pick a song that would play every single time you entered a room, what song would it be?
The Imperial March from Star Wars, because Darth Vader is awesome.
What would you like your dying last words to be?
“Avenge me!”
Well, that’s Jeremiah in a nutshell. We hope that you continue to enjoy these glimpses into the inner workings and operations of our team. Not only do they offer you a little advice, but chances are you might just find that you have more in common with these folks than you realized. Keep an eye out for more introductions to the team and even more insight into our wonderful of world of beta testing.
